Government Sponsored Entity Reform

The Administration is committed to reforming Government Sponsored Entities (GSE's). GSE's as they are currently organized pose a systemic risk to the financial markets and the economy. The administration wants to improve oversight of GSE's by:

  • Creating a world class GSE regulator
  • Limiting the size of GSE's retained mortgage portfolios
