The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") is amending the Terrorism List Governments Sanctions Regulations, 31 C.F.R. Part 596 ("TLGSR")  , so that the schedule to which the prohibition section refers lists those countries currently designated under section 6(j) of the Export Administration Act as state sponsors of terrorism, instead of the countries that were so designated as of the effective date of the TLGSR (i.e., August 22, 1996). This amendment also removes Iraq, Libya, and North Korea from the schedule, because the Secretary of State has rescinded the designations of these countries as state sponsors of terrorism.
