Spring 2010 Hamilton Fellows Program

The Hamilton Fellows Program is designed to attract outstanding individuals, from a variety of academic disciplines, to the Department of the Treasury. We are looking for highly-motivated individuals with strong analytic, research, and writing skills, who can work both independently and collaboratively.
Hamilton Fellows have a unique opportunity to witness and contribute to Treasury's critical mission, which is concerned with “managing the U.S. Government’s finances effectively, promoting economic growth and stability, and ensuring the safety, soundness, and security of the U.S. international financial systems.”
The jobs are full-time and are located within the Washington DC metropolitan area. Participants are employed for a two-year period. At successful completion of the two-years, Fellows may be eligible for permanent placement.
The starting salary is approximately $51,630. Opportunities for promotion, based on performance, do exist. In addition to salary, Treasury offers a comprehensive benefits package. Participants will receive training and development.
Fellows may be assigned to work in the Treasury headquarters office or in one of its bureaus depending on the individuals’ interests and qualifications. For more information about Treasury please visit www.treas.gov.
Those selected during the Spring 2010 recruitment cycle will have a target start date in Fall 2010 (U.S. Citizenship and basic security check are required).
