FROM THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS January 28, 2004 Treasury Names Robert Stein as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Macroeconomic Analysis The Treasury Department today announced that Robert Stein was appointed this week as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Macroeconomic Analysis. He will be responsible for scrutinizing and reporting on current and prospective economic developments and assisting in the determination of appropriate economic policies. Mr. Stein originally joined the Treasury Department in January 2003 as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Economic Policy. He holds a B.A. in economics (with honors and distinction) from Georgetown University and a law degree from George Washington University. |
