The strategy focuses on utilizing new technologies and improving coordination between existing government resources to better protect Americans. The President is already moving forward to implement these important goals, proposing last month to integrate our border security agencies. Today's strategy articulates specific steps to strengthen our nation's security by reducing the redundancy and duplications which limit the efficiency and effectiveness of our current system."
