Blount Today: Building a school, an economy The feds showed up at the groundbreaking of Coulter Grove Intermediate School on Friday. And everyone was in the mood to celebrate. The groundbreaking celebrated a new school for Blount County and the Obama administration’s efforts to grow the economy by making investments for sustainable growth. Indian Country Today: New Treasury bonding authority announced
The Department of Treasury has announced $1 billion in stimulus bonding authority to 76 tribes. “Through tribal bonds, communities across Indian country can access lower cost borrowing to help finance economic development projects that create jobs,” said Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin.
