SUBJECT: Delegation - Disbursing Officers to Carry Cash
By virtue of the authority vested in me by Reorganization Plan No. 26 of 1950, authority is hereby delegated to the Commissioner of the Bureau of Government Financial Operations to authorize disbursing officers of the Division of Disbursement to carry cash at personal risk in accordance with the provisions of Section 3620 of the Revised Statutes of the United States, as amended, 31 U.S.C. 492, either in their custody, or in the custody of duly designated assistants and agents of such officers. The authority herein delegated to the Commissioner of the Bureau of Government Financial Operations may be redelegated by the Commissioner to the Chief Disbursing Officer.
This order supersedes Treasury Order No. 177-5, dated March 1, 1955.
