Release of TIC data:
- NEW The Final Report on Foreign Portfolio
Holdings of U.S. Securities at end-June 2007 was released
on April 30, 2008.
- NEW Revised estimates on
asset backed securities (ABS) prepayments dating
from July 2006 - February 2008, were released on April 30,
2008. The estimates are based on data from the survey of
Foreign Portfolio Holdings of U.S. Securities at end-June
2007.
- The Final Report on
U.S. Portfolio Holdings of Foreign Securities at end-year
2006 was released on November 30, 2007.
- Derivatives Data (see
item 3 under STATISTICS above).
Beginning May 15, 2007, the TIC website includes quarterly
data on holdings and net cash settlements of financial derivatives
contracts as reported by businesses in the United States
with large holdings of derivatives contracts. The data begin
for 2006. The data are updated every January, April, July
and October, on the same day as the monthly TIC data are
published. This information supports the data available
in the Treasury Bulletin, in Section V of the Capital Movements
tables.
- Non-banking Data (see STATISTICS item 4 above).
Beginning April 16, 2007, the TIC website includes historical
quarterly data on liabilities to, and claims on, unaffiliated
foreigners as reported by nonbanking business enterprises
in the United States. This information supports the data
available in the Treasury Bulletin, in Section III of the
Capital Movements tables.
